Gilmore Girls is essentially a RomCom, which means love is used throughout. I love love (does that sound stupid?!?) and this is one of the many reasons why I love Gilmore Girls. I also love the Notebook for it's love story.

I love it in Gilmore Girls when Lorelai shows up for a Friday night dinner, but Rory isn't there so Lorelai goes back to her car and turns on the radio, then starts dancing in her car to 'Shadow Dancing', then Emily comes out, sees Lorelai, and Lorelai jumps out of her skin.

Emily: what were you doing?
Lorelai: I was... looking for... my lipgloss
Emily: you needed the radio on to look for your lipgloss
Lorelai: well, i came out her and I couldn't find it so I tried to retrace my steps. So I put my handbag on the seat and my keys in the ignition, so that caused the radio to turn on, and then Shadow Dancing came on, which was one of my all time favourite songs in Junior High.

Well today was a fairly good day, which reminded me of every time in gilmore girls where they're jumping around like idiots, for example when Lorelai says 'yes' to Max's proposal, and they're jumping around like they're full of beans. LOL

★miracles★

In Gilmore Girls, and any other TV show, everything works out fine in the end. Why can't real life be like that? Why is it always topsy-turvy inside-out? How are we supposed to accept ourselves if no-one else can accept us? Miracles happen on TV for the real life star, but we all feel like the sidekicks who get the bad deals, the Kirks of the world. What happens to us, stays with us, forever.

I think all of the boyfriends of the Gilmore Girls are jerks in one way or another...

• Dean was a jerk because he expected Rory to say "I love you" only three months in, and then got mad at her when she didn't
• Max was a jerk because he kissed Lorelai in Rory's school
• Jess was a jerk because of the way he treated everyone around him
• Luke was a jerk because he said "no secrets" and then didn't tell Lorelai about April
• Logan was a jerk because he didn't care what he did, he just did it anyway
• Christopher was a jerk because he didn't believe Lorelai when she said she wasn't in love with Luke, and he got mad at her when she wouldn't 'make a baby' with him

The only person I think is suitable for Lorelai would be Alex.
